I am pretty sure they are made by crunch.. I will say that I am very happy with my crunch sub amp and I am buying there 4 channel here soon. If you asked this 5yrs back I would have said stay away. But from my experience with there new line I am very pleased.

Hifonics was bomb in like 90-98.Zed used to build em, now they are so so. Id buy Kicker amps in the same price range

the newer black Brutus line of Hifonics amps are very good amps. I have seen many of them and they always impressed me. I would buy them from a dealer tho, cause I have seen a few burn up, but they have a great warranty and I'm not sure if the amp burnt up cause of the amp, or because of bad install ya know?

BTW My buddy has 8 of the 2000 watters in his blazer on 16 12's and the amps push them insanely hard. Very strong amps for the money IMO
