Stereo & Electronics - Speaker question

Hey, I want to put some subs in my car but dont want to run another amp, if I hook them up to the mid speakers in the back seat will they get the same wattage as though speakers? or will they rob from it and sound like shit? I dont have the money to buy an amp right now and I know that that is the way to go.
