Stereo & Electronics - Can i hook up an Video Ipod to this system?

I was trying to see if i can buy a video ipod and hook it up with the system in the link and use it as my dvd player?

That sounds like a good idea. But do you know if theres a connection from the Ipod to the a set of RCA's ? I'd be interested too.

yes there is there is actually 2 different styles.i have both
one goes through the headphone jack...and the other goes through the dock connector on the bottom(the one i use)

and actually both of you are in the bay area so if your not doing anything friday night i welcome you to come out to fairfield.we usually have a few guys out there with there gtos..and you could see how the conectors work and check out my system and just hang out with the goat herd

You think you could show me a pic of the cable i need to hook it up. I wish i could come out to fairfield but i live in socal now.

I have an RCA to headphone jack connected to my Clarion head unit. The RCA's plug into the auxilary inputs of the radio and the headphone jack plugs into the top of the ipod. I am now running a car charger to my ipod that plugs into the the bottom (USB ) of it. This has a headphone jack that I plug into the RCA/headphone cable. The charger lets me control the volume with the headunit. Here are some pics of what I have. The number for the charger is Monster Cable AICHG2IP CAR Charger For iPod. I got the other cable at target for like $4.

GUz - THanks for the pictures. But if I were to use those cables and plug a Video Ipod to the brain of my Indash, would it allow me to view videos from a pod onto the screen? Hoping taht if there was some kind of connection like this, I could use a VideoIpod as a way of looking at music videos through my indash. It would a lot more easier than burning files to DVDr's.

I think im going to get the Audio/video RCA's that hook up to the ipod. This guy showed me his in his Z28 last week and he was playing music videos. I really like how you can watch the video and listen to the song. I cant wait to buy an ipod and hook it up.

Yeah just find a RCA cable that has the video feed on it (red,yellow,white). That will display the video to your screen.

oughta work just fine...this is what ill be using when i get the fuck out of this country and back home :(
