I searched for some more door speakers for my Z28 cause the one on the driver side got blown. I made sure to try and find some with 2ohms as suggested in the FAQ'S. Would these suffice?

Mike @ Fbody audio will probably chime in. He uses nothing but JBL, and could tell you allllll about them. Personally I have no experience with their car audio stuff, but their other speakers are great.

If you are using a stock setup (monsoon amp) the only thing that really matters is that you can split up the wiring to get to the tweeter and woofer seperately.

In order to know this for sure you need to see the back of the speaker, but the image looks as if they have a seperate cap and wires going through the back of the magnet (meaning they should be ok).

Many co-axials run the tweeter wires directly through the woofer cone itself, and as such they are not very suitable to bi-wire. Those are the types that should be avoided if you want to use them as stock replacements.

JBL speakers in my opinion tend to have very nice sound quality, with very sharp tweeters and good sensitivity. Similar qualities as Infinity.

I think of them as a budget MB Quart and they will definitely be pleasing as a factory replacement.

On a side note three way co-axial models are almost always gimmicks in my humble opinion. The addition of the little "supertweeter" does very little, if anything for the functional sound of the speaker. Stick with the 2-ways and buy yourself a pizza. They use the same tweeter and that's what you'll actually hear.

Well actually I've been looking at more choices since I found those JBL's. I'm thinking about switching the front doors and rear sides over to aftermarket Alpine SPR-17LP's. Got a question about the factory 4" rear hatch speakers. I was taking a look at them and they said Delta electronics 4 ohms. Is that how many ohms that rear hatch factory speakers have?
