Stereo & Electronics - Upgrade old Alpine with new

I just bought a new Alpine HU, CDA-9857. I currently have an older version Alpine in my car and I'm wondering if the connectors will be the same. Anyone know where I could find a new install harness in case I need it?

did you get the new cd player hot? it should come with the harness already. and i doubt they'd be the same.

No I bought it from Ebay. Says new in box, but it could still be hot lol.

I assume you mean the antenna adaptor and the Metra wiring harness. They should be the same.

The Alpine harness is probably the same. Such things don't need to be changed often.

The connector that goes into the H/U for the speakers, power, ect. I had to open the old plug's connectors for it to work. Works perfect!

How do you like the head unit? I just ordered the same one. Did you get the iPOD adapter as well?

I like the hu, it's a little bright at night even with the dim on. As for the Ipod, no I didn't buy the connector because I don't own an Ipod.

I have the CDA-9856 HU with the iPod adapter. I will let you guys know how the install goes. I hope it is as easy as yours went...I am going to pick up some new speakers too.
