the tweeters on the monsoon run off the headunit. right? well i bought the alpine speaker and tweeter combo but didnt like the speaker. but can i use just the tweeter with the same lines and the crossover thats already there? they should sound better now that i have a new h/u instead of the stock.

Yes, on Firebirds the tweeters (front and back) run off the head unit. On Camaros all speakers (including the front tweeters) run off the amp.

And yes, you can replace the factory tweeters with your aftermarket ones as long as you can make them fit.
