Don't make fun of me!!!

I like to listen to AM radio on my way home from work (usually news/sport), but it seems that there is MAJOR interference coming into the radio on "higher band" frequencies (anything above say 1000 MHz).

Anytime I try to listen to an AM station, and put the widow up/down sometimes it will go away, or if I turn off the A/C (or turn the blower one notch down), it completely goes away.

Weird, could it be a groud?? Suggestions?

This is the problem with AM and the reason that as far as most people other than people who listen to Right Wing talk, AM is obsolete. Nothing you can do.

Being you have an 02, I doubt it's ignition interference.... Does the sound change while accel/decel? If so, it's caused by the alternator. You can help this by adding a filter to the power in lines on your head unit. Also, adding a cap inline will usually help smooth out the voltage.

If I'm wrong, and you hear more of a popping sound, try new spark plug wires with a better noise suppression...
