Well I made to the local track finally. I thought I did ok for never being on a strip before. I know that the car has more potential than the driver.

This was the best run of the nite by me, my buddy drove it and got the best time of the nite. He ran and 8.80 and 8.79 back to back. I don't know his r/t and such as he kept the time slip. I'm pretty happy for a bone stock car, no mods what so ever. I'm ready to do some mods and try it again.

It gets more fun as you get comfortable with how everything works and as you mod your car to watch the et decrease.

Thanks guys. Me and a couple of buddies went last nit all of us new to the track. We had a blast. It was Test & Tune nite so ther were only about 20 cars total. I ran 14 passes and could have run much more. Just made three passes at a time and then would cool down and watch other run. Extremely fun, I'm glad the track is about 50 miles away. I can see myself going broke there if it was closer.

I was feeling pretty good about my cay early in the nite. There were a couple of Mustangs that were running terrible times. A stock 99-01 was running mid 10's and a supercharged Mach 1 (03-04) was running about the smae time as me, but 10 mph more than me. He had some SERIOUS traction issues. My buddy ran a 9.03 in his 165,xxx mile 95, and another buddy ran a 9.7 in is 160,xxx 9C1 Caprice. We were looking like the shit as far as street cars there. But then the dude with the 96 Tran Am rolled in. We were all pumped to see another F-body roll in. It had 6 cyl wheels on it and was super quite when he did a burn out. We were amazed when he shot out the hole and ran a 7.74. I talked to him later and asked him what he had done to it. At first he said it was stock with drag radials, but I called his bluff when I told him our bone stock cars were no where near that quick. He then told me he had a 100 shot and a 58mm TB. Do you think that this is all he had done to run that time? Kind of hard to tell how honest he was after he bullshitted us from the start. I've been reseaching nitrous kits ever since then.
