It won't give you more hp, but it may let your pump deliver more fuel, saving a fuel pump upgrade.

the boost a pump isn't for it power, it is for adding more fuel under boost or nitrous

in the past ive heard boosted guys claim Xhp increase from adding a boost-a-pump, but i could have also misunderstood what they where saying which is why i asked.

I did not gain any horses. The BAP just helped me maintain the fuel pressure and kept fuel pump voltage steady.

Can I use just a BAP with a D1SC on my stock motor + boltons running 8psi?

Yes, if you want to compliment your intank 255 pump.

I was talking just my stock pump. I know vette guys do this quite often on their stock pump.

Your x-factor will probably be the 36lbr injector not the pump. My fuel system is good for 600-700hp but my weak azz 42's are choking the pumps. Do yourself a favor and go with a bigger 42 or even 60, that way you can be done with that lil poroblem for a while if (and when lol) you want a bigger shot. Because now Ive got to buy the same part twice, and I hate that.

If you got the d1sc and you plan to spin her harder, i would get the 60lbs no matter what. The 60lbs are a bargin right now, we sell them for $419.99, they are good for 700rwhp also.

Jake,
Will the 60lbs work with a Boostapump on a fbody with a D1SC at 8 psi?

See below.
This is all I run at the 550sh rwhp level: 255 in tank pump, 60 lbs injectors, and the BAP. Everything else is stock (lines/rails/etc).

So I take that as a no on the stock pump?
Sorry I'm a newb to fuel systems

You can boost the stock pump, but you eventually have to face it that the stock pump isnt all that great. A 255 with a BAP will take you mid 500s.

So how would someone know if a boost a pump does'nt work?? I here people on this thread say that a BAP helps maintain fuel pressure, but mine does not seem to maintain even after a new fuel pump..

The BAP boosts the fuel pressure up. When set to full , it will send around 17v to the pump. Best way to make sure is to trigger it while using a multi-meter.
Whats going on with yours Ande?

Well I finally replaced the pump which gave out on me last week on the highway. I drove the car yesterday and it felt a lot better, but I still noticed that the fuel pressure was dipping into the 52 psi area. So I don't know what could be causing my fuel pressure to drop that low. The old pump was part of the problem I believe because at idle I was only seeing about 52-54 psi. I changed the filter and I also checked the pressure at the rail and it showed 60 psi like my autometer gauge showed. How would you set the BAP to full?
