Stereo & Electronics - question about amp install

So im gonna hook up an amp to my speakers to get my highs a little louder. Before i do this i have 2 questions:

1) how do i remove the plastice center dash piece with the AC vents?
2) where is the hole in the firewall to run the connection to my battery

Thanks in advance, any info is aprreciated. my search timed out on me twice so i cant find any info that way

1.) Pull straight out on the entire assembly. It is held in with those little metal prong clips. Pops right off. Only thing to be careful of is that the switchgear wiring is attached (foglight/asr) and will hang onto it.

2.) Under the PCM, there's a rubber grommet that'll support having more wiring shoved through it. You do have to pull the PCM, but it's easy to find once you do that and very easy to get to on the interior side.

Dunno wtf is up with the search function. Site works terribly for me at home, but is ok at work.

I don't get it.
