Stereo & Electronics - Factory Stereo & warranty?

For whatever reason my rear speakers, the ones by the back seats quit working. I don't think they were blown since I dont really turn up the stereo all that loud I was wondering what you guys think the cause of this could be? Amp?

Also has anyone tried getting the factory stereo warrantied if it was just a defective part?

I've had my headunit replaced twice under warranty because the screen would display garbage.

I would venture to guess that your factory warranty is up for items such as this (if not for any other reason than the year factor - unless either:

#1 You purchased an extended warranty-then you would need to read the extended warranty details to see if it was covered.

#2 You had a claim for the exact same problem while it was actually still under regular warranty that comes with the car, and this is a re-occurring problem - then they 'might' fix it for you under regular warranty.

well i purchased the extended warranty which is supposed to cover just about everything so i guess it is worth a shot.
