The exhaust port layout on an lt1 is the same as an early small block. So, if you get the hooker long tubes meant for an lt1 powered Camaro they will work just fine. My only suggestion is to get a tubular crossmember if you haven't already. This make the install 1000 times easier. Good luck.

Headman Headers "Hustler Series" by far are the best headers for this combination. These are the only 1 7/8 headers I could find and there are nice.

Kooks makes 1 7/8" headers and are 100x better quality and fit. Though they are more expensive.

I haven't used them on a F Body but I have helped a buddy install a set on a old 78' Vette with a 383 and he loved them and they were the most well built I have seen.

I used pacesetter long tubes for the lt1 on mine good price and great looking. good enough to go 12.30 through single 3inch flowmaster with nothing but the hot cam kit

Brian,

You make this statement, but have you ever seen the Headman headers I'm referring to? I don't doubt the quality of the Kooks but don't knock the headman "HUSTLER" series headers to you've seen them. I have a pair of the SBC 4th gen 1 7/8 primaries and they are very nice headers. And these are not cheap, I paid over $700 for them.
