Drag Racing Results - Another New Best in the Slowbra!!! 10's on Stock Eaton!!!

I had a great time at the SVT Cobra Club drag day at Carolina Dragway!!! I had a goal of getting an 11.2 on motor and 10.9 on nitrous. I got an 11.1 right off the bat on motor, so I moved on to my nitrous goal which took the rest of day. I couldn't get the car to go into 4th gear to save my life. I had a 10.xx pass at least 7 times and each time the car would not go into 4th!!!! I was running 11.00-11.20 @ 100 just coasting after missing 4th and it was driving me crazy!!! The car was pulling sooooo strong through the 1/8th, going 6.9's @ 104-107. I finally decided to let the car have a nice long cool down, mess w/ the firewall adjuster a little then make another pass. I did my burnout in 1st hoping to put less stress on the clutch, and armed the nitrous. Now if you look at the slip my mph in the 1/8 is waaaay off, well the car two runs before me had layed some fluid down. So they shut the lane down and did some serious prep work, hence the 1.58 short time. But when I went to shift to second I guess I found some of that fluid and the car went sideways and I had to get out of it. I got back in it and powershifted 3rd and 4th. I couldn't believe the time when I got the slip!!! I know the car has more in it. I know the car has a 10.9 on motor. I ran a few 7.0's @ 101 in the 1/8th on motor but couldn't find 4th. With a nice shift to fourth I know there's a 10.9X in it! The car weighed in at 3720 w/ me for anybody wondering. No weight reduction other than the prostars, 1/2 tank of gas, and a 185 lb driver. All nitrous runs were jetted for slightly less than a 50 shot. Anyway here you go....

Strange how on the spray your 1/8mph was slower than NA, yet you still trapped 129. Did you hit it late? Must not have since the 60' was down. Maybe it went out after 60' then back on after 1/8th? :confused:

If you look in that long boring description of the day I posted at the top, there was a car that layed down some fluid. So when I went into 2nd the car got sideways and I had to lift, hence the reason for the low 1/8 trap. Somehow it still managed to pic back up to 129 by the traps.

Oh. lol. I went straight to the slips. I did not see the write-up. I will check it out.

I figured that's what would happen, everybody would go straight to the slips and bypass the long explanation. :lol:

I know the feeling. Just bought my first house this summer. It was much easier to mod when I split $650 rent.... :jest:
