Anyways, just traded my duals for a dual cutout ORY, and well yeah. BLAH. I wired it through the firewall and directly to the battery. Still has the fuse (remember this is not blown) I have it grounded right in one of the 10mm bolts near the shifter area. The cutout wires are run through the floor. Now here's my grief.

I get in the car, and turn the key to accessory. I flip the cutouts open and close. They work 2x. Then I start the car, open 'em, close 'em. Works. Now that's a total of 3x that I do this. Now I get out of the car, and no more than 2 minutes later, hop back in, and nothing. The switch doesn't work now.

I took off the bettery terminal, and re soldered it, and put it back on. Nothing.
I checked all the wires, no problems. Both cutout wires still hooked up, no problem there. I test the switch, and both cutouts, both are getting juice. Now I test the fuse in the wire. (remember still not blown). I check the fuses in the box, no problems there.

I got rid of the QTP cutout in my old I-pipe because this happened 3 other times to these damn switches. WTF. Did I just buy myself back into another problem??????

Any help at all is much apreciated. I would love any help anyone may be able to give. Thank you

Chris

It doesnt surprise me, the switches are junk, ive Ran QTP cutouts on my cars for around 3 years now... 1 thing ive always had problems with is the darn switch.. the backing was put togethor very poor, So try wiggling the wires behind the switch. If still nothing, contact QTP, order a new switch..do you still have a warranty ?

Hey, thanks for the response. No I've had 3 different switches before that I paid for, and then after the 3rd one blew I traded the exhaust and cutout so that was that. Now I traded my true duals for the dual ORY with QTP cutouts, and well it opened and closed a few times, and the now it doesn't work. So what now, I have to buy a 4th one??
