I got a lead on a 1980 Camro with a 406 SBC, Pink Rods, forged pistons, TH400 manual valve body 4400 stall. Current owner sates it runs 11.80's Car is primiered but the body is straight.. Interio needs a little work but not too bad.. He wants 3500.00 for it.. Is this a good deal? Let me see if I can get some pics..

Hrmm.. what are your plans with the car?? That 4400 in a TH400 wont like to cruise on the street well, Check underneath real good, those cars like to rot the rear frame rails out. ive had my share of 2nd gens.

Looks like a helluva good deal with that motor if the body is straight/solid.

see if the heads are aftermarket. they look to be cast, a nice set of alluminum heads may really set that car off
Yep aluminum heads would probably wake that thing right up. Rims are worth a bit of dough alone. You should see if it has any other mods like axles, gears, driveshaft (full manual valve bodies are harsh), frame connectors, suspension. 3500 still seems good for the times if they can be verified somehow.
