I am trying to think up the motor I want to build for my car in the next two years.

I want to build race engines for a living so I want something sick to show off lol.

I would like to stay SBC but would go BBC if needed.

On the Little Chiefs, will they work in a 4th gen with it being 11 degree heads? I don't mind modifing the engine bay some.

I know it would need to more then likely be a 4XX engine to take advantage of the flow numbers (DART seems to be having problems with that part of the site).

On the Big Chiefs the 11's flow 520CFM@.900 lift on the intake but if I remember right those will not work on our cars? The 18's flow 455CFM.

A buddy of mine also know a local Pro Stock builder/porter that has done some heads for some local guys and got some sick power out of them.

Looking at a direct port nitrous car. For a SBC 600rwhp on the motor and 1,100 on the bottle would be a must. On a BBC, maybe another 100hp on both sides.

It would be nice for it to be a pump gas car on the motor...
Aluminum block also. A buddy of mine his his Brodix aluminum block with a 300 shot and it took it fine, motor was built to handle a 500 I think (5XX BBC)

I will also want fuel injection, no carb for me.

<--- Does realize how much money I will have in it lol.

When it comes to streetablility, as long as i can take it out to the local cruise spots on Saturdays thats all I care about.

Unless your running a 400 hp plus shot of nitrous I think you'll push the streetability issue a little to far. Thats if you want the 1100 plus hp.

My guess would be your probably looking at atleast $15,000 or more for just the motor.

Yeah I have been looking at him.

With the nitrous I would like a 500 shot or so depending on N/A power levels. Thats were I got the 600N/A to 1,100 N20 numbers, probably should have explained that better.

Ive always wanted to do a 434 or larger small block, full roller, high compression, huge cam, and fully ported sb2 setup on top. That would be bad ass.

Great guys that build awesome motors. I've been talking to them since I've embarked on my BBC in a 4th gen project. Works out great for me since they are local too.

You're in Indy anyway, did you call Steve Schmidt?? They have big & small motors.
They have been great to everyone I talk to. I'm probably getting 1 of their motors for next year.

I know of a few guys here that recomended him. I have also seen his trailer and engines at the Nationals this year. He would be someone I will call for sure.

You could also try Bill Smith. Hes out of muncie. Or a guy named Steve Kline did my blockwork, hes from anderson and builds all the motors for everykind of racecar around.
