New Mustang GT with a $5700 Rousch supercharger and Borla catback. 369 rear wheel power :barf: . I caught the tail end of the show so I'm not sure on the boost level, but still seems pretty lame to me.

well ya know.... it only made 369 rear wheel power because it retains the factory warranty..

This is true, but why spend the money for such a small gain. A supercharger on a V-8 these days should be well over 369 rear wheel.

No shit man. If all I got from a blower was about 89 horsepower AFTER the tune was done, I'd be pissed!Hell, even the old 302 got better gains than that, and it was designed fifty years ago...

I caught the tail end of that show too. I think they said it gained 130hp at the wheels? so mabey for that car it was a huge gain. I'm curious to see the whole show and get the dyno #'s before the blower so I'm going to record the show when they replay it tomorow.

Base hp on the stang was 26? rwhp, they added the super charger, tuned the pcm (Roush mail order tune on the factory pcm), and changed the mufflers - Magnaflows I think, for the grand total of an added 10? rwhp. :barf: :bang:

Is it me or do their numbers always seem low on that show...

yeah...actually now that I think about it....
Remember the blown 426 Hemi Roadrunner they did a while back. Rediculously low amount of power that was gained IIRC.

yup watching it now. Baseline was 265 rwhp.. Blower alone gained 93 rwhp.. exhaust gained 11 rwhp. 369 rwhp by the end. $6000 for the blower.. probably another $500 for the exhaust. thats a lot of I like the sound and power of Camed cars over blowers.

Anybody watch Muscle Car afterwards? I was falling outta my seat laughing when he called the Fox-body "not a real muscle car, but it does HAVE some muscle to it". I've been preaching that one to the guys over at Contour Enthusiasts Group for years, but no one listens... :jest:

I guess 93 rear wheel from the blower alone isn't too bad. I know they are running low boost too. But I've seen numerous other GT's with blowers well into the 400's at the wheels. That is respectable. I would have been severely disappointed if that had been my car.
