Funny you should say that. Since I believe Hennessey went bankrupt buying houses for himself, then used customer cars to try to pay off the debt. Vicious cycle. I wouldn't even send that guy a lazer scooter to work on.

I know a local guy that was going to send his Viper to Hennessy untill he found out that John Hennessy is being sued by like 20 people or something for the reasons posted above as far as I know.

The car uses 5 times the amount of fuel than normal at 5500rpms. WOW! Get ready to spend most of your time at the gas station. But i bet its a blast to drive.

Lots of money in the Viper market but the guys that can drop 80k+ easy on their cars have A LOT of money.... you screw with them and they will put you 6 feet under in lawsuits....

:stupid: Yep, I'll take a black C6 Z06 too. That 800R Viper is still very impressive though. 230+ MPH, 2.9 0 to 60, and 10.88 in the 1/4. Those are Z06 crushing numbers. BTW, the Viper would look alot better if it was black and lost that wing (even though I'm sure it has a purpose).

take the money from a normal viper use it to buy a Z06 then the money you have left over can be used to romp all over the hennessy:D

This car has 300 more hp than the Z06. With equal traction this should crush it pretty nicely.

Sick car but way overpriced and from what I 've heard it would probably spend a lot of it's time on the back of a tow truck.

yeah, we are on our last leg over here. only did about $4m in sales in 2006 and won a motor trend magazine shootout. maybe 2007 will be better....

Getting the thread back to what it was supposed to be about; nice car,performance, etc. If I could afford it I'd have a lot of cars like this. I like seeing these cars cruise up and down my business park. Sounds like Hennessey had a good year; re-opened Lonestar,put in a motocross track etc. I've heard about some past exploits but people can change. It's the holidays so give the guy a break. just my 2cents

I agree people can change. If he has paid back all former debts to folks that were screwed before things went down hill, then a clean slate is definately deserved if things seem to be doing well at this point.

i'm planning on getting a Viper next year and it's not going anywhere near Hennessey. All my business will be going to RSI here in Houston.

Theres so many people who work on Viper now a days. The thing is Hennessy was one of the first so he had to learn the limits of the cars obversely he did it sometimes without the owner consent. His business from the looks of things has turned itself around. John you have a beautiful track and some amazing events!

Everyone has their own opinions. I am not going to attempt to change anyones opinion, its not my style and lets be honest.... its not going to happen. Me personally, I have known about dealings that have gone sour since about 97, and read first hand accounts since 98... so I wouldnt give him any money... ever. If he has changed his ways, good for him, I wish him the best. But there is that history, you are judged in this world on what you have done, not what you are going to do.

Everyone has there own opinions on him, I do know is has a few pending law suits.

I do know one Viper owner that refuses to take his car to him now period!

His cars also have way to much power that comes on wat to fast. Even car and driver I think it was said they did not get traction untill like 5th gear or something stupid. Even with sticky tires on those big steam rollers it tends to be to much for the average driver.

Like I said, other shops can get you just as much or more power for about 10k less........

Alot of people have "heard" alot of things, but few have actual personal experience.

My advise, research any company you plan on spending that much money with.
