How does the material look compared to the factory plastic?

That flat black color really makes it look good. Whenever you see them they're always painted some glossy color and look way out of place.

That looks great. I've been behind a couple past double din posts. And that might be one of the nicest installs ive seen. Please post or PM me a price. And if possible, maybe send me the contact info of the place that did it, to see if they'll replicate it. :D Awesome job!

it is actaully pretty easy to accomplish without a lot of difficult fiberglassing. You can use your stock setreo bezel and do this mod. you just need ALOT of patience and a LITTLE fiberglass skills.

I had it done at a small buisness called bailey's Audio in lake charles Louisiana. It was 1900 altogether that includes the radio (1400) custom dash kit (100) labor(150) Ipod adapter(55) steering wheel controls(70) antina(20) n tax is the rest of it.

You may wanna PM him, I actually emailed him through ls1tech to bring the questions in this thread to his attention... btw have you ever dealt with or heard of baileys? Because im considering having them replicate that bezel for me. That price sounds very reasonable. I'd trust your opinion over most on this forum, you've done some QUALITY work on the hawk.

Thank you! I'll give it a shot to see. I've really never dealt with Bailey's other than walking inside it. I'd rather order my stuff online for alot cheaper and install it myself. :) To me, it looks like an awesome job they did and for $100 that's definitely a good deal! If ya want, I'll look up the phone number for ya.

Np. Yeah I agree online is the way to go, and so far ive nearly done everything on my car myself. So I'll give the system a shot, but glass and molding and all that ... not my field. lol

And thanks but I actually dug it up online, its Baileys Auto Works right? lol otherwise, def hook me up with a number. I'll be calling the wrong place askin for custom bezels and gettin laughed at. :)

Let me see... Bailey's Audio, 337.433.4005. LMK what they say, I need to ditch the flipout for a non-flip double DIN, maybe they'll make me one too for $100!

I have a feeling it'll be awhile if I did. And honestly, I'd want to play with fiberglass anyways, so i'd give it a shot. :) I think that's the first double DIN in a T/A though, I've always seen them in Camaro's.. You know of any more?

I definitely agree, it does sound too good to be true though. $100? I'd never try that for only $100 even if I knew what I was doing.

lol Yeah but hey, they did a good job... and I actually got a local installer to match it. So I guess it cant be too far fetched.

I only know of a couple others in birds..
