Stereo & Electronics - Lights wont work. only hih beams

So iam not sure cuz iam new to firebirds but i think my headlights are out. well i turn the lights on and only my lower fog lights go on and the top ons go up but they don't turn on till i put it in high beams but then my lower fog lights turn off and my guage shows the my high beams are on.

So is there some electical problem or what. I have 2 12" subs and a 1200Watt amp, could this be the problem it might be to much.

are the bulbs blown? I would check that first, then get a multi-meter and test to see if current is flowing to the wires. If not, check the fuse. If the fuse is good then trace your way down the wires from the headlights to the power source and see where you start to get power.

The sub would just cause it to dim when the sub hits, it wouldn't cause the lights to not come on.

thanks man ill try that in the morining. But are they out??? cuz i know the fogs and the reguler lights are suppose to be on at the same time right??

Your fog lights will go out when you turn your brights on. I had the exact same problem last year when I stored my T/A for the winter and it turned out to be that both bulbs had gone bad I almost bet that is what is going on. I have had a terrible time getting bulbs to last in my car but I drive it all the time so the are exposed to the elements alot.
