Does anyone know how hard it is to put on a window motor for a 2001 Trans Am? I've also heard that aftermarket motors go out really fast after installing them...anyone have any suggestions? Thank you in advance!!

hey thanks for the reply...now i dont have to pay labor!! just one more question...should i go with a motor from the dealer or just get a cheap aftermarket? aftermarket is about $70 and from the dealer is about $180...but one mechanic told me that his experience with aftermarket are horrible

Get one from Auto Zone, cheaper than the dealer and has a lifetime warranty. Helped install several and they work fine.

Many people on here recomend the seimans or dorman aftermarket window motor, which should both be available at AutoZone.

Yeah, the metalreviewcentre site went away for some reason...basically the same, except the switches on the door panel are a little different. You can do it, just take your time...after you've done it once you'll be an expert. :)
