Here are some pics of my Ls6 into my 1990 silverado. The engine you see sitting
in there is a spare 5.3 that I'm using to mock everything up. I plan on using the
truck accessories and all my clearances have worked out pretty good so far. Just
thought I would share these.

Thanks guys. Finished fabricating my engine mounts and I'll try to get some pictures of
those up.

Pics of my engine mounts. I went a little heavy, 3/8" on the engine plate and
1/4" on the mount ears.

The guy that made my mounts for me when I did my LS1 installation made mine from something thinner than just under 1/4" steel plate. He builds big-block drag cars, offroad trucks, etc... When I asked him why he only made them from such thin material & that I thought he should have made them with a bit thicker stock, his response was: "It's only a smallblock!". So far, they have worked fine. :) Gar

Just an update, I now have the mock-up engine out and I am cleaning and prepping the
engine bay. Hope to have the Ls6 at least sitting in by this weekend.

bye bye 454.
Don't worry, the 454 isn't going anywhere but in my basement. I had a rod start
knocking and the engine has 183,000 mi. on it so I decided to go with something
a little different. Gonna prep it for storage so one day if I decide to put it back
to original, I can. I didn't have to modify the frame or engine mount position
so it could go back really easy.
