Stereo & Electronics - Noisy Antenna HELP!

Dont know if this is the right section, but oh well.

My antenna makes a horrible sound everytime it goes up, doesnt hesitate or struggle so im sure its in good working order. How do I get rid of the squeek?

did you just get the car or are unfamilar with the power atenna?

It's supposed to.. All trans am atennas make noises when they go up and down..just how they are

You can hear the antenna lowering and raising in the car. However, mine doesnt squeek and isnt very noticible when lowering and raising. I would maybe try and put some grease or WB40 down in it and see if the lube helps.

I know they are suppose to make some sound, but not one like this. Plus its only when going up, im sure its not suppose to make that sound. I havent tried the wd40 cause I didnt know if it would be safe for the motor but I guess I'll try it, thanks.
