Stereo & Electronics - interior light and car alarm trouble

car alarm is going off at randon on account of my car thinking a door is open and when driving my interior light comes on.if it helps i have a 99 camaro and i think i have singled it down to the drivers side door, also i checked the alarm sen. in the trunk and turned it down and no luck. this problem is starting to get really annoyng. any thoughts or ideas would help

The door open switch is part of the door latch rather than a separate pin switch like it used to be on older models. They sometimes get gummed up with dirt and grime so you could try cleaning it with some contact cleaner. Also, there is a limited amount of adjustment available by loosening the door latch mechanism mounting bolts. If that doesn't solve the problem, you'll probably have to buy a new switch.
