Stereo & Electronics - Quick question about power antenna install

I just installed one on my SS. Everything seems to be working right but I have one question. I tapped into the orange wire like it says to on http://www.blackcamaro.com/antenna.htm Here's the question. Is this orange wire supposed to have a constant (even when the car is off) 12volts going to it?
Mine does and I just want to make sure that's right.

Yes. The amp power wires should come pretty much straight from the battery (thru a fuse, of course).

The reason it needs constant (battery) power is so the antenna can retract after you turn off the ignition.
