Hello,
I am looking to buy a new torque converter, around a 3000 stall. I have a TH350C (lockup) transmission. It's pretty hard to find a 3000 converter that't not too expensive for this trans, but I did find one brand. It's an ACC performance boss hog converter, for around $400. 2800-3200rpm stall. Here's the link- www.accperformance.com Have any of you had any experience with these converters? I am wondering if it is a good idea to get mine from here. Thank you very much, and if you need to know any more info on the motor or car just ask.

I need to start thinking about a good torque converter too (Big block TH400) I am also looking for a reputable company. The generic company that summit and all the mags show is TCI but I hear they are not so good. I would also like to know if BOSS HOG company is good or if anyone can suggest a good company for Monte up there and my self.

It seems the LS1 guys are really anal about TC selection looking beyond stall speed to torque multiplication ratios and all sorts of other factors. Why dont we old school guys see that kind of info?

Just put a TCI super street fighter 3500 on my truck and what a difference. I havent put many miles on it at all but the driveability is very similar to my B&M 2500 I replaced but when you get on the gas the tires just light up. Since when did TCI become a generic brand??? I understand that the price is lower but many LSx guys will say that the TCI is a good unit for the price.
