I'm looking for some info on possibly twin turboing my 427. It has GM Performance aluminum heads and the block has been O ringed. I cann't seem to find turbo headers or much of anything else on Rat turbo stuff. (Turbo sizing, Cam specs, Boost to compression ratio, etc). It's going in my 70 chevelle. Any help would be great.

The headers will have to be built.

!. its going to be extreamly expensive because you need to get custom headers wast gate piping and many many other things! Most of the parts will need to be hand crafter. turbonetics can tell you what turbos you need and ect.

about the headers, a few of us "traditional" pontiac guys are modifying exhaust manifolds. not real easy, but it is an extreamly durable and affordable alternative to headers. it also keeps the underhood heat in check and provides a solid way to mount the turbos. i plan to use nitrous for intercooling on race night. if things don't get put on hold again dammit :judge: .

After looking at some mercruiser manifolds it looks like you could make a rather budget (I know it's hard to say that with forced induction) single kit. You'd just have to make a cross over and the rest of the kit. They probably wouldn't flow nearly as well as a tubular manifold, but for someone on a budget they might work.

Someone a good while ago introduced me to a wonderful and knowledgeable site, and i think you would do nothing but gain from it, www.turbomustangs.com, there are guys there building they're own set of headers with little tool and fabricating know how, with just at 200$ invested in tubing and are turning out 1000hp motors with homemade kits, just food for thought, and there is an entire section dedicated to the LSX, and SBC and BBC fellas, as well as DIY articles and blowthrough section if you are going that route, hope that helps

Yeah, turbomustangs is definetly a good resource.

The thing is the original poster didn't say how much money they had to spend. Maybe they should call up W2W ($ option) or build it with some friends?
