Small Block & Big Block Chevy Specific - Stamping number...

Not sure what number this is for but im trying to locate the meaning behind it. My step-father says its stamped on the front of the block T 0525 S....

Im guessing the number I need is on the back of the block? I know its a 350 motor, but im trying to figure out what year it is and weather its a 4-bolt main or a 2-bolt.

the number you should look for will be back by the distributor hole. You can post that one up here or do a search for GM block castings on the net to find more info.

is that the one thats going to be something like 370010 or 370020???

Found out the number he gave me is part of the VIN th motor was originally in which im trying to track down right now.
