Stereo & Electronics - Vats bypass

i read the resistance on my key at radioshack...with the Multimeter to 20k ohms it read 7.46...Does this sound right? if so, which resistors do i need to get to bypass this.

i just read that, so would i need the 7200-7800?

You need 7500 ohms (7.5K) but you can get away with resistance in the range between 7.2K and 7.8K. Try to get a combination of resistors that are as close to 7.5K as possible.
