I know there are other threads out there on this just did not want to hijack. I replaced one of my sail subs in oct. Now the other is starting to crap out. I would like to replace them with something a little nicer that will run off of the factory amp. I also would like a direct fit. Any suggestions.
Also I know I will only use two of the wires to sub and not the four that it uses now. Just wondering which ones to connect. thanks for any help.

After having a pair of Kenwood midbass, Peerless midbass, Elemental Designs 7Kv.2 midbass and the current CDT Audio M6's I can say that the M6's destroy the others I have tried. They are a bit more pricey, but they sound quite a bit better than the others I have mentioned.
Just connect either one of the two (+) and (-) on each side to the single voice coil.
Thanks to WhireBird00, here's the sail panel wiring:
Left side:
Tan +, White -
Dark blue with white +, Light green with black -
Right side:
Red +, Tan -
Dark green +, Light blue with black -

JR HAWK 9 - have you tried them using just one set of wires per side on a SVC midbass (if I remember correctly, you have these amped)?? I can't imagine that being better than using both pairs/channels of the amp on the DVC eu700s..

no, I went from an all stock system to an all aftermarket system, so I never had anything hooked up to the factory speaker wires except for the factory speakers. Yeah, I don't know how they would sound just using one pair of the stock wires wired to a SVC driver, but I can tell you the difference between the 7Kv.2's and M6's in my setup was IMMENSE.

So it does not matter which of the two sets of + and - I use just make sure I keep the sets together and do not splice all the + on one side together and all of the - together on the other. I will check into the speakers you have suggested. thanks for the help. I just dont understand about ohms and stuff but I am tring to learn. :jest:
