I'm thinking about putting one of these in my cars. Do you think it will look good in a trans am ws6? Also, I will be hooking up my ps2 in the back with my system and getting wireless controllers for the 7" monitor up front. Anyone know any other screens that are around that price? Also, how hard will it be to put this screen in with its deck? let me know. thanks

personally I absolutely hate Jensen... I'm sure they have some good products but I've found a lot of it to be rather poor quality as well.

do you have a stock deck? when i purchased my camaro it had stereo mounting kit already installed and the pioneer touch screen i bought fit without a problem. I seen quite a few jensons and they look pretty good i was impressed, But for a hundred dollars more you can get a Pioneer AVH-P4900DVD, Panasonic CQVD7003U, Sony XAV-C1....

Yea Jensen's are crap. I was at the local audioshop and this guy was shopping for a new touchscreen because his Jensen broke down within 2 months of purchasing he said. Hence the phrase: "You get what you pay for"

BS, the guy was probably an idiot who f@cked it up :judge:

I've had an in-dash motorized Jensen for two years with absolutely NO problems (TV Tuner/DVD/CD/ everything works great)... Not the first Jensen I've had either.

They are cheap in price and I get them even cheaper from a factory warehouse...

They DO NOT BREAK any quicker than any other unit and, like any other unit, usually only break quick when you have a moron operating it...

NOW, I will say this... They are not high-end sound QUALITY units... MAYBE if you had amps and other cross-overs/components you could make the best out of it but installation of the head unit alone will not give you that, "Oh my God, this sounds f@cking SWEET!" feeling that some higher end units will give you...

I think Jensens are hit and miss honestly. Some people have storys like Demonbird who have had good luck and their jensens last a long time... but many people also have Jensens that break quickly and frequently... and not everyone with a broken Jensen is incapable of using a stereo... I've seen Jensens break at least 2 to 1 compared to Kenwoods or Alpines...

Working at circuit city for awhile I saw alot of Jensen car audio products come back. They are cheap but like the above post says and with all electronics, you get what you pay for. If you are looking for decent car audio product you should check retail spots for open box product or perhaps ebay - something like Panasonic, Pioneer, Eclipse, but personally I would not settle for Jensen.

There is absolutely NO other saying that holds up 100% of the time as that one does.

OK - obviously you still have to have a damn brain when you are purchasing something and not just look for the highest price.

Yes, you get what you pay for. Although, there is something called a "deal" that factors in. Lets say: You buy a 24 pack bundle of tube socks for 1.99. Most likely, they would be crap. But lets say your friend is selling a pack of 36 tube socks for the same price and the name brand is Tommy Hilfiger. The only reason he is selling it is because the socks are too big/small. That is what I would call a "deal".

SSbeast, it sounds like you fell victim to what I call a "deal". :jest:

-1. i like jensen. they may be cheaper than the other shit, but i've had no problems with mine. and the price, ultimately depends on where you buy it. i've got the 9311. and i like it. just sucks they came out with the 2 din touchscreen 6 months after i got my 9311.. Fuckin do it.

i used to work for circuit city before i joined the air force :usa: ....and my buddy who hung out w/ all the time worked in the stereo dept. and he would ALWAYS try and steer his customers away from jensen screens...not b/c of money(we didnt get paid commission :( ) but b/c he was tired of customers who had bought them comming back in less than month sayin they had problems.....ive seen em, been around em, helped install 1,......do urself a favor and save a little more
