Stereo & Electronics - Need some help

Hey guys. My gf just ordered me the subthump stealth box and amp rack. Now i need some help deciding on which sub to order. In my old accord I had the alpine type S (rms 300) powered by the alpine mrp-m350 (rms 350 at 2 ohms. I loved the sound of this combination. I was just wondering if I could expect less, more, or the same amount of base having the sub inside the car with me (firebird) as I could having it in the trunk (accord)?

Think you can exspect a little beter response because of the shape of the hatch area. I have an Infinity 10 sub with a stealth box and love it. It has great response because of the focus of the storage area of the f-body. I have a friend with an acura tsx and he has two JL audio subs in it. We swapped thos in to my camaro and they just have better response becaus the not in the trunk. In my humble opinion, I think it would be better.

Most subs will sound louder when in an open air trunk, like a trans am, camaro, eclipse etc....

cool, that was the response I was hoping for lol. Im kind of hesitant on going to the type R because of the increase in money for the sub and more powerful amp reqired, as well as the fact that I've already had one car stolen and have had my firebird broken into once before :( plus, like I said before, I was very happy with the type S setup in my old accord. Any 1 have any opinions on the Type S in a subthump stealth???

anyone??? im gonna order the rest of my setup in a few min lol speaker amp, dual amp wiring, sub amp, and sub :)

If you liked it in your Accord you'll really like it in a stealthbox in the hatch!! I know a guy who has a Type-E with a small amp in a Vantage stealth box I sold him. He said it sounds great. The Type-S will sound even better I would think. Hell I ran a Clarion SVC sub in a Thunderform with a small RF amp and it sounded good too. The Type-S is a better sub than that and your using a quality amp so you should be in great shape!!
