Stereo & Electronics - Auto door lock bypass

Do all 98+ have the "feature" that when you start the car the doors lock? because my friends 99 camaro does it and he hates it and i thought there was a bypass for it.. but all i found was a way to make the car do that. Which was at the link below.

Would it be safe to say that the original owner decided to do that mod and all he has to do is undo it?

Yes, because that was never a factory "feature" in the f-bodies. It must have been modified.

I'm with you - I can't figure out why anyone would want that "feature". If one is that paranoid then just push the lock button. Besides, if the guy trying to carjack you is holding a gun, do you think having the doors locked will help?
