Alright came out of work, unlocked the car via key fob put the key in and nothing happend, no lights, nothing, like everything was dead. Opened the hood, checked the connection, i pray and go to try again and once i turn the key, i see dashlights and stuff and then i goto start and she starts, but she won't hold an idle at all. So im keeping on the gas for like 2mins and she kinda finds idles around 500, then 600, then 750 and stays there. The thing is when i touch the gas or rev it at all, the needle goes all the way down to like 400-500 and then slowly comes back up and the car feels like its down on power driving. I got home now and went to restart to see if i could and bam nothing, theft wont set, nothing works except when i turn the key to start it, i see the stupid seatbelt light, but thats it!! and thats only with the key turned all the way forward.
Im gonna go get a battery anyway, but the volts gauge said the battery was fine? Anyone have any ideas?

Do you still have the delco battery in there?
It sounds like the battery to me, as mine did the sae thing. But the positive connection on the battery broke off.

yeah its an AC delco, i bought the car 4 years ago, and it was the same battery, and the car has gone through 3 winters without me starting it, this year it did give me more trouble than usual.
If it was the battery, why did the car start back up although i had to hold the gas in for minutes so it could find some sort of idle. I thought once it dies, it dies.
I dont have time to check anything now, but im praying its the battery and nothing else!! any other ideas, keep em coming!

I would guess it could be an alternator problem as well... but what do I know? :)
Replace the battery and see what happens. It sounds to me like the alternator isn't putting out enough juice to keep everything going... but if the battery is tapping a lot of power out of the alternator (or if the battery is just flat busted) then it could be messing everything else up too and just making the alternator LOOK bad.
Good luck.

UPDATE!!!!
Alright, i went out to the car popped the hood and turned the wrench on the positive terminal 3/4 of the way and then i used to the key fob and the car had power. However im not sure if it had power before i tightened the positive terminal because yesterday i had power, then no power, then power without doing anything.
Anyway, the car started up and had the stupid idle thing like she wanted to die, idling around 3-400 and slowly going up to 750, the volt gauge was high around 15 and the oil pressure gauge was higher than normal as well(even for a first cold start), I started to drive the car and it felt like a put an ls6 engine into the car, the car was very very responsive and pulled really hard, im thinking wtf is going on here! The car hasnt felt like that in a longtime, although its a bit cool out, but it just seems it wants to pull more.
What do you think the funny idle thing is about, i checked for any leaks and obviously there isnt any. Its almost like its a pcm problem, like the car keeps relearning. I just don't get the car fighting to stay alive and get slowly to an idle speed of 750. Im gonna go out and drive later on today, but obviously this puts the battery and alternator out for the problems.

Idle problem is from the computer relearning everything. Especially if the PCM sees no power for a while like a dead battery. The idle will work itself out as the PCM will learn.
I would definately have that battery checked out.
probably not this.
But my car did the same thing a year or so ago, and got worse and worse, turned out to be the maf going bad.
just a thought.

Well i drove it another 2 to 3 times and the car starts up fine and no relearning idle or anything like that. Just odd. I mean crap i only twisted the battery bolt one full turn and then it started to get tight, maybe it was loose, but i wiggled it and it didn't come out before i tightend it. Oh boy i hope its not the beginning of electrical gremlins!
