Stereo & Electronics - Need stereo help!!!

Here is what I know about my stereo.
The option code from GM is UZ7.
It has 8 speakers total.
The head unit says "Monsoon" on the front of it but I do not have a CD plater. SO it was not the premium system.

Now for my questions.
1. Does my stereo actually have the Monsoon amps or did mine just get the name?
2. What is the best Monsoon head unit? I want to keep it looking factory so I do not want an aftermarket unit.
3. What speakers would be an improvement over stock without needing to change the head unit or stock amp? I just want something that will bolt in be compatible with the factory type head units and amps and give an improvement in sound quality (not necessarily volume).

1. Check behind the spare tire, check there for the amp.
2. There isn't a "best" stock head I don't think, but mine has a stock cd changer so I guess it has the most "options."
3. The monsoon will push many aftermarket speakers if you don't want them loud. Just go to a trusted stereo shop and tell them what your doing, they'll prolly help...

You DO have the premium system :). They made the Monsoon in either CD, cassette, or CD changer with cassette deck. Pretty much only the V6's got the low grade system. My 2000 Z28 came with the Monsoon cassette, but that didn't matter since I was going to rip out everything anyways.
