Firebird Race Track in AZ does a tech inspection before you can run. They say that per the NHRA rules:

13. If your rear-wheel-drive vehicle is capable of running quicker than 13.00 in the quarter-mile, a driveshaft loop is required. Consult with our Tech Inspectors for specifics.
14. If your vehicle is capable of running quicker than 12.00 in the quarter-mile, please consult with our Tech Inspectors for additional safety equipment requirements.

OK that fine with me but how do I know what it's capable of? That's why I'm going to the track. I see that this question is posted alot on this forum but I have to ask what you all think. I have a 2000 WS6 Trans Am with Hooker headers, custom grind cam, K&N air, Granatelli MAF, SLP Loudmouth with Magnaflow resonator, no cats, Hurst short throw shifter and skip shift eliminator. After the cam install the dyno was about 397 at the rear wheels and I was told it figures out to 450 or so at the flywheel.

I figured that I'd at least do the drive shaft loop for the 13's requirement. Anybody know what else is needed for the 12's and 11's?

Just bring an up to date helmet with you.

If they kick you off after you first run be glad.
