Stereo & Electronics - how does this stereo work? Please help!

i really need some help here guys, i just got a pioneer 8400 series mp3/cd player and i need to hook it up. The guy at circuit city told me that i need to hard wire all new speakerwire to make the speakers work. isn't there a way to hook up to the stock amp and use it to run all the speakers? Please help!? :cry:
