Looks Supra-tastic from the side....not that that is a bad thing though! I'm still going to root for the GT-R over this thing....

Ditto on all accounts. Looks like they went from the minor leagues (2JZ) straight to the all-stars (V-10) on the performance side. Skyline GT-R would still be my choice if I wasn't getting the new G8 or Zeta WHEN it comes out.....yeah, that's right Japan. Whether it's a goat or a chicken coming out next, "Victory is eminent".

9,000 rpm, that'd be sick if this thing sounds similar to an f1 car, kinda like the carrera gt. I wonder how much it will cost consumers in the end though considering the "4.5 or 5.0" litre displacement for maybe 500bhp, while with (correct me if I'm wrong) but porsche had 5.7 litres and made 605 bhp. If the handleing/weight can match it'll be interesting how this thing does against the vipers and vettes on a track. I know that they are getting more power but having 9,000 rpm to work with is still badass esp if there's a decent torque curve and power to weight ratio.

I doubt it will make production

Notice how they say over 200 grand. That would be a little too much for me even if I had the money. I'd rather go with a Phantom, Benz Ocean Drive (if it makes production), or a Flying Spur vert.

Notice what happens at 1:14 in the video. It's hil-fucking-larious if you're switched on.......or drunk. I would know.

I don't give a damn what anybody says about rice. This shit right here is CUHHHHHHH LEEEEEAN

Nothing rice at all about a car like this. A truely fine automobile. AND its very likely to make production.

The real irony/humor is the talk of introducting it after Toyota's first F1 victory...anyone who follows racing knows that's not likely to happen anytime soon, lol.

:jest: Yeah, they have a better chance of a Nextel Cup victory sooner than that (but luckily and hopefully NOT there either, anytime soon). Sorry, but I DO NOT worship TOY like everyone else. :nono:

Do they really think they can out-do Ferrari? Fat chance. They wouldn't be able to pull a Ford if they wanted to, they just don't have the passion! Oh, and Ferrari's CEO hasn't gotton into it on a personal level with Toyota's CEO yet... :jest:

Anybody else notice how ol' Enzo had a knack for pissing off the WRONG people? Lamborghini, Ford, the guys at Honda, etc....

Outdoing Ferrari on the street is unlikely, but they can provide a nice option for some(not me) to the 911T, F430, and the like.

If you were refering to F1...well, outdoing Ferrari would only net them 3rd place as McLaren is currently cleaning up.

"V10-powered production version likely to be badged "GT500". (Autocar photo)"

Ford should have a fit over this.

Hopefully they (Ford) will sue the piss out of the Nippon Giant. But then TOY's response will probably be, "We were just naming it after the upper GT class in our country's premier racing series" or something similarly lame.

Not really F1, I was thinking more Le Mans....but Honda does do a decent job on the track.... too bad none of that racing technology trickles down lol.

And Ford will respond, "That's funny, I didn't think Lexus SOLD cars in Japan, much less entered into a racing class there. Judgement for the plaintiff!" :jest:
