Ebay is your friend. People sell everything there. Im trying to locate a nice 472 for my car.
What exactly are you looking for(running, not running, complete intake to pan, longblock, etc.) and about how much are you looking to spend?

well, ive located 2 in my area, they are complete motor, id spend around 1500 at the most, i want a running motor if possible, ill take just a plain block since im gonna build it, just whatever lol
I heard about a big block that is for sale locally, but I'll have to find out what size it is for sure and what he wants for it. I'll try to find out in the next day or so and post up the info. I'll be going on vacation for a coupla weeks starting Monday, but I'll keep my eyes open for something.
I talked to the guy that told me about the motor and he said it was a 454 but he didn't know the details on it. He's supposed to take me over to check it out this weekend, so I should know more about it by Sunday.
I personally have a running 454 in a '81 dually that I have thought about pulling out to sell, but I haven't made up my mind on that yet.
Also, I don't know if you'd be interested in coming to south Alabama to pick one up. If not, no big deal. I may try to pick up the other motor also for a spare. You can never have too many fat motors laying around. :)

You could try Craigslist www.craigslist.org and try in and around the region you live in.

I built this engine for my 90 454SS , but wound up selling the truck before I made the swap. The engine still needs a oil pump, oil pan, and harmonic balancer and of course accessories. Engine has not been fired and is fresh. Should make decent power and lots of torque and make a great street motor. I am in Orange,Tx 77630 roughly 100 miles east of Houston on the TX-LA border. If you have any questions feel free to PM me here, e-mail to fhuff1@yahoo.com, or call me at 409-882-9889.
