Small Block & Big Block Chevy Specific - need a lil help

:bang: i have just put together a 383..gettin to the point where i was about to fire it up..buuuuuuttt when i was goin through the rockers i realized that one of the studs pulled out or wasn't seated all the way from the begining..well i was wonderin how much a machine shop charges to do the studs..or if there is somethin else i could do without having to take the head completely off of the motor just because of that single stud..i appreciate ne help..

press in studs? stock heads? what cam lift? motor completely assembled? need a little more info.

yeah there press in studs.stock heads just ported and crap..nothin to special..motor is all the way together that's why i was askin because i was curious to see if there was ne thing i could do so i wouldn't have to pull the head off..cam #'s 267 in 280 ex 477in 480 ex

what type of rockers are you using are they rollers or stock stamped ones long slot stamped ones etc. in other words is the slot in the rocker hitting the rocker stud? if it is thats likely why it pulled out. in any case i think your best bet is to pull the heads and have screw in studs put in even if its not binding up if one lets go the rest are likely not far behind, and thats damage you just dont want.
