Drag Racing Tech - No new best with 12 bolt and ET streets

I went to No Problem raceway tonight and ran on 26x11.5x16 ET streets. It took a while to get use to not letting off clutch and then sticking the gas like I leave on Nittos :D. I finally started leaving at 5000 rpms and sticking the gas at the same time and only pulled a best of 1.680 with several other 1.68's and before when I was doing the Nitto style launch on ET's I was doing 1.74's or so.
THe weather was shit and could only muster up a best of 12.03 at 115.77 with a 1.68 60/ft. The mph was down tonight for 3 reasons 12bolt ,Et streets and 1491 feet DA compared to 10 bolt ,Nittos and -1200 DA witch was good for 1.67 60/ft. and 11.69 @118.98 mph. I wish I would have gotton 4.30's instead of4.10's.
I could not shift with all I could because the cluthc was not disengageing all the way and I kept missing gears from 1'st to 2nd, I will let out on the m/c and see if this fixxes it .

dont feel bad, I went out with my new car (365rwhp) for the first time with a 12 bolt with 3.90s and 255/16 BFG drag radials. DA was 2100' but it was a 'street fight' night with zero prep. Best 60' I managed was a 1.980, I was doing huge burnouts with 20psi in the tires but just no hook :( Z06 clutch was not about to let me slip it out so it was dump it at 4000 and smoke the tires or leave at 2000rpm easy and then floor it a few feet out. Ran a blistering 8.21 @ 91.5mph with a 2.06 60' in 19 (yes 19) tries :cry: Man I miss my A4s..

Going to mount a brand new set of 10.5x26x16 ET streets tonight and if it ever stops raining I'll hit the track this week hopefully - I would have killed for a 1.75 60' :)

I'll have the videos to post later on tonight. Not bad times at all considering the conditions and a full weight, small cammed, mild headed car.

Hey Chad not bad times at all for the weather we are having here in the south right now..The best I could run a couple of weeks ago at Evadale was a 11.98 @ 114 with a 1.65 60' on drag radials..Compare that to the 11.56 @ 117 back in February with no changes to the car since then..

Thanks Justin, Did you get the one where Ben smacked me around? :drive: I adjusted the master cyl. and it seems to have fixxed it. :drive my ass off now :D.
Next wendsday night we can do it all over again. Do you want to go to skate capital or No problem? I made 9 passes and you can go 11.49 without a cage on wendsday at NPR. I will go either place but we will catch more traffic to state capital.

Hey Tim, I am happy for the times in the shitty weather. I just kept missing gears because the master cyl. had to be adjusted so I was shifting slow to keep from missing a gear. first to second is not a gear I should have a problem with :bang:. I did add a asp pully finally to make up for the loss of power from the 12 bolt. And it is now proven to be faster with the air filter in than out. 1 mph.
