I have a Gentex rearview with the temp/compass installed in my SS and a couple of days ago it started showing "OC" then it'll show a outside temp of (for example) -32 or 46 degrees or some off the wall reading. Anyone know what "OC" means? I'm thinking maybe the temp. probe died but I'm not sure.

Sorry..... no answer in the owner manual.

Suggest you refer question to the Preforamce Trucks section.... hopefully someone in there will know. (Just a guess.... but I would think it have would be something to due with calibration of the compass.) (There is a section in the manual on that... if you want I can post but it doesn't referance that error.)

Found this on another site(Thanks Google!!!!).... looks like it is a temperature senor issue..... your car probably doesn't have one!!! :(
(Please post back if you find a solution... I was thinking about this mod for my car.)

Posts: 14 Found the problem. Factory harness was there but the sensor wasn't.

Try calling Gentex (616-772-1800) or their North American distributor Mito Corp. (800-433-6486) and see if they can tell you what it means and how to fix it.

I bought the mirror with temp sensor off ebay and installed it sometime ago (pretty easy upgrade BTW) and it has worked pretty good up until a week ago when the temp reading started showing "OC". It's got to mean something.

I ordered another temp sensor and put it in. It seems to have fixed the problem, thanks all.
