Has anyone used a liquid sound deadener that you brush or spray on? I was thinking of getting this for a few locations on the car.

Where at in the car are you planning to use it? I would get some thicker sheets as well and at a minimal use them for the speaker locations and entire door if possible -- use the liquid anywhere else for the most part.

I used deadener for the doors and spray on for the inside fenders and hatch area. the stuff is very lightweight compared to the sheets and way much easier to use plus not too expensive and you can buy as much or little as you need, only$6 a can. 1 can will just about cover each wheel well from the inside and 1 can for the ttop/tank area. I used the sheets behind all speakers and the entire door in/out of the door skin. HUGE improvement!!!!

I'm planning to use it in a couple of areas that I can't get a sheet of deadener into. I just want to quiet a rattle I have and I figure this would do it. It won't take much to do the job

The first step I took in sound deadening my car was the Elemental Design V3 (http://www.edesignaudio.com/edv2/product_info.php?cPath=21&products_id=53). It is super easy to put on. I would've said the only down side is the wait time to dry, but after doing the entire car in with eD V1 (http://www.edesignaudio.com/edv2/product_info.php?cPath=21&products_id=51), wait time isn't that bad compared to the apply time of a peel and stick in tight areas. V1 made a bigger difference overall though.

I did the entire floor of my car in eDead v1 as well as the doors, sides and hatch area. It was a TON of work but the car is much quieter inside now. All the creaks and groans are gone.

the V3 is actually what I was looking at using. It will be the 1st layer and then I'll use a peel and stick product for other areas. There's no way I would expect to get great results with just V3
