Stereo & Electronics - Escort 8500x50??

I've had this radar for almost a year and now all of a sudden it starts going off for no reason. It will switch from the X band to KA back and forth for about 5 min. until i unplug it. Then it will do it again until I unplug it again. But when i go to get in my car again it will be working fine with no problem. It will work fine for a week then starts going off for no reason. The other day i just started my car and it went off in my neighborhood when theres never a cop clocking people. So is it going out and should i get a new one, or is this a common thing to happen?

Replace it with a Valentine One, unless it's under warranty.
