I had an in dash TV installed in my Camaro over the winter. I didnt know how to do it so I didnt want to skrew anything up trying to figure out how to do it. Yesterday when I was driving home it just kept turning on and off. What could have possibly caused this? I thought maby one of the wires was lose. But there are probibly also a lot of other possibilities to what it may be. Should I try to fix it or should I go to a shop that may be able to fix it. I have a 2 year warrenty on it, so if it is broken, all I will need to do it just bring it back and they will put a new one in there though.

Any ideas on what may be causing this?? I should also add that my battery in my car died today and I needed to jump it. I figured maby something drained the battery. I checked all the dome lights and many other things that could have drained the battery, but nothing else was on. So i figured maby it could have been caused by something in the sterio. Like I said, I dont know too much about installing sterios. Any help would be appreciated. It turned off on me today once, but it wasnt like yesterday though where it just kept turning on and off over and over again.

Why bother fixing it....it has a 2 year warranty!! Take it back...worst thing that happens is they fix it....best thing that happens is you get a brand new one w/installation!! Take it back and have them do it while you chill having a soda or something!! That's what you payed for!!
The worst thing you could do at this point is mess with it trying to fix it because then they will blame YOU for any damage. Don't mess with it at all!!

good point.. Thanks for the advice. Would I have to pay them though for taking it out and looking at it? I had a 2 year warrenty on the actual in dash TV but I also had it installed there too (Which I paid like $200 for including all parts).

How long ago did they install it before you had issues?? If it hasn't been that long...a few months and they remember you..shouldn't be that big a deal. If it's been 6mo. to a year...you may have to pay something..depends on your agreement you signed when the system was sold. If you have any paperwork from when you bought it..go over it carefully and read what it says. If you paid $200.00 for the install they should warranty there work somewhere in there as well!! Worst comes to worst...call them and act like your a new customer and see what they offer you for installing the same type of deal you have..as far as warranty. Then you can at least have that as a reference if they try to run some game on you.
Not saying that any of this would happen...they might be more than willing to help you out as well!! Hopefully!!
