If that hatch had what they said it did that's one quick car. If you're going to go from a roll go from atleast 40. 20MPH was a huge handicap for the Civic; FWD and no bottom end.

Funny, how can there be excuses if the person who was racing didn't even respond? I just responded in the thread, have at it. I had a Trans Am, I don't disrespect them. My Civic should be pushing over 500whp in the next few weeks and hopefully a little over 600whp in a couple months after I get the head ported. I would have raced from a stop, except for the traction factor. Give the GTO a set of Mickey Thompson ET Drag Radials and he will run maybe a 12.8 and I will put on a set as well and go easy 11's on a base street tune.

Haha, having trouble? Him starting in first from 20mph roll at around 4500rpm and me starting in second at like 2000rpm needing to get to 5000rpm to have full boost. Talk about a good few seconds of lag, you don't notice how fast I reel him in after I start to boost? He was wide open throttle the entire time for both runs, I braked before him on the first run when I got to his door, the second run he did not let off. Wind noise and the fact that all the noise from the car is the exhaust, you aren't going to hear much of anything from a front view of the GTO. I took him by 25 cars from the second race.

Yep I saw you reelling him in, but I would say the race was over by that point. When you get that far behind and running from a roll then yes I would call that having trouble. I hope your proud of yourself racing nearly stock cars with all the mods that you have. Show me a video of you beating a turbo goat then I'll be impressed.

If you know the owner, he won't. He had eight cars on me on the first race, if that was me, I would have stopped and tried to go again. He thought something was wrong with my car in the first race, yet he still decided to keep the pedal down. He always rips on his car, he even knows his was still wide open throttle. Look at the video, watch how fast it goes from behind him by a fender to burning by him to looking in the side mirror and seeing his small headlights. When I get my car tuned, I will get a race going with my friend Jordan's 600whp Z06 and post the video, I will hang decently.

Good luck with the Z06. If you have trouble pulling a fairly stock GTO from a 20 roll, I doubt you can pull a 600hp Z06. Even from a 60 roll that vette is going to be in kick ass mode when it hits.

This Ricer is A douche, If you are rolling a built motor with what i assume is a turbo, cause i don't know numbers and crap(GT35), then where is the spool???? I heard nothing and saw no hard up top pull from a turbo, no lag, no nothing. I am just disappointed. First race, LOSS! Second Race, there wasn't one!!!!!!! WEll, My Opinion, which isn't much, but looked like a load of crap to me.

that being said, its your own fault for building a car that can't race below a 60 roll... thats not a realistic race, AT ALL. Putting a big turbo on your motor just to say you have it is dumb, why not put a smaller one on and make the same power, but spool up faster? Doesn't make sense at all.... And I'd like to see you run an 11.XX if you won't even race on the street from a dig... I doubt you would be able to break the 11's

What's funny is, I don't think that half of you realized that I owned a 1998 Trans Am and loved it.
Read the thread a bit more and you will see the full out discriptions. I will try and go out in the next few days with my friend and get a video clip of my speedometer from a 20mph roll in second gear, like how I raced the GTO, and in first gear.
Believe me, I don't want to start anything, but I am going to stand up for my car. Car is going to be making atleast 500whp in the next few weeks after I get it tuned, done deal. Then I go port the head and free up a lot of restriction up there and should be able to make 600whp from what tuners say.
Check the original thread, the owner is even admitting.

I am not, I'm just defending myself. People don't realize that there are a lot of variables. I could have went in first gear the first race and had fun with traction or start in second and hope the lag wasn't terrible, I made the wrong choice.

Your car is quick but with the races shown on the vids I wouldnt be worried about hogging the head I would more worried about a driver mod. Learn your car some more before you go and kill some one or yourself . Torque steer can be a motherfucker and with you not knowing how your car was gonna act then yeah DRIVER MOD..
Once you have taken care of that post up some vids of kills or races with a higher class of cars.. Not some lard ass few bolt on gto..

Thier is a reason why i stay away from certain meets, and certain people, not all necassaraly import owners cause im friends with quite a few in my local group and who's cars i do like while i wouldnt own them, but its because i dont like getting caught up with people who talk alot and piss me off cause i tend to get pissed very easily. This is why I own a cammed M6 LS1 with 4.10s that romps from any RPM and MPH. Have fun losing most races because you're not "boosting". :lol:

Im sure your car is fast but before you can talk you need to show proof. Saying that your tuner thinks its going to have a x amount of hp and actually doing it is a different story. I am the GTO guy. lol. I was bored out of my mind when I raced Rob, but I thought it was funny that the honda has something more than $10,000 into the car. I just about LMAO'ed when I heard that. I can't imagine how fast my car would be if I dumped 10 grand into it.
Also, for the record, compuvision02 isn't the one who posted that video. The dude's name that did is Bsaint, and he is a really cocky asshole. He thinks hes all tough shit and hot shit driving his 1995 BMW M3 around with his lame ass straight pipes. They sound so bad.
Anyway since people were asking for mods done to the GTO, here they are:
-Volant Cold Air Intake
-Muffler Delete
-JBA Catless Mids (temporarily, going to put the cats back on. It's too loud).
And I just bought a predator tuner. Didn't have that installed for the video, but it will be shortly. Should add about 10rwhp I am hoping. I don't want to do too much to this car, mainly because the loan isn't paid off and I am most likely going to sell it and get a six speed. I hate automatics now and wish I never got one.

I am really not trying to start anything, I just wanted to defend myself, because the information stated in the original thread was wrong by assumptions. Those assumptions transferred to this forums. I didn't post the video, because why should I? Nothing to be cocky about, I beat a stock GTO. I just wanted the video sent to me, because I wanted to see and hear it, that is all. I had the video well before anyone else, I could have posted it on every forum I am on, which is a lot, but I just wanted it for my personal desire.
Oh, I thought you had posted the video. Its a very cocky vid too. But I guess if you didnt do it then you cant be at fault. A race is a race. I think everyone was under the assumption that you made the vid and put it out.

There is so many diffrent varibles in that race, but lets look at it civic 2500lbs if that+450 fwhp vs 4000 lb gto with 430hp give or take. I like both sides of this but lets be realistic that lil civic would run down 50% of the shit on here at a 60 roll. For all we know that civic might be built for highway bombs kinda like supras. Not taking anything away from the domestic world it would only take a bolt on stalled f-body to destroy that thing from a dig. Diffrent strokes for diffrent folks. There is no way I would go to the great lengths that this guy has to brag that he beat a bolt on gto. As far as domestic vs import meets there is cocky assholes in every group. :engarde:

I would have raced from a stop, except for the traction factor. Give the GTO a set of Mickey Thompson ET Drag Radials and he will run maybe a 12.8 and I will put on a set as well and go easy 11's on a base street tune.
It's all cool but....a GTO with the Drag's with an Auto will not hit a 12.8...never seen it happen but then again....nope unless the TQ managment is taken off at the least. I may be wrong.
This is kinda dumb. Oh well...I love my V8's and I will probably never own a 4cy car unless it's for daily driving or at least a decent car that I like, ????? Caliber's are nice. Haha

anyway, ive been hawked bad before. I ran a 1300whp supra owned by a friend of mine at the track. I must have had 4-5 cars at the 1/8 mile, but ill be damned if that bitch didnt come by me like i was standing still about a hundred feet before the quarter!
He went a 9.6 or so with a six speed, with like a 1.8 60 haha. Trapped in the low 150's. It was about that time i decided I wanted a turbo myself ;)

consider this for a second a civic producing about 400hp is producing the same amount of horsepower as a stock ls2 gto. But a civic engine is 1/3 the size of the gtos ls2 which meens to maintain the same amount of power the civic motor has to work 3 times as hard at the edge of its potential, while the ls2 is not even realy trying and im not even going to start talking about tq.

There are a couple making 1200whp and running 7's. One guy even decided to build a nitromethane burning acura integra funny car that ran mid 5's at over 250mph!!! 4000hp out of a honda 4 banger. Top fuel cars only make 6000 out of 8!!!

I ran those times when i was still learning the new set up and i had my tq converter bolts lose when i made that pass... It should run something like a 1.4 60 6.5s 6.8s at around 101-103 its defently capable of runing a vary low 10 just not on these rims/tires.

You should do some research... 400whp isn't even scratching the surface of his motors potential. Just a turbo and fuel system upgrade and his car will be capable of over 1000whp!!! There are a couple making 1200whp and running 7's. One guy even decided to build a nitromethane burning acura integra funny car that ran mid 5's at over 250mph!!! 4000hp out of a honda 4 banger. Top fuel cars only make 6000 out of 8!!!

Look at NHRA Pro Stock. 500" - 1,490 hp, 11,000 rpm's and back dooring tracks at over 210 mph. :D

You should do some research... 400whp isn't even scratching the surface of his motors potential. Just a turbo and fuel system upgrade and his car will be capable of over 1000whp!!! There are a couple making 1200whp and running 7's. One guy even decided to build a nitromethane burning acura integra funny car that ran mid 5's at over 250mph!!! 4000hp out of a honda 4 banger. Top fuel cars only make 6000 out of 8!!!

I don't know if this has been mentioned, but you have no clue what you are talking about. That nitro car is based on a top fuel motor cut in half. It is essentially a hemi. It is in no way a honda motor, or based on a honda motor.
You are so one sided towards Honda it isn't even funny. There is no magic. The rules of physics still apply to a Honda.
