Anyone know of a contact at GM, or any other way, that i can get some type of "official" letter stating the production run numbers of a 98 SS. Not my specific number, but overall production run of SS's that year. I am trying to get collector liscense plates for mine but the state (OH) requires a letter from the manufacturer stating the production of the car. (They only require it to be under 8000 units for the year so i know i'm fine with a 98) I just need something to prove the numbers. Any ideas, or anyone with a similar situation, please help me out. Thanks in advance.

Would they accept a published book as proof? There are official #'s in the Camaro white book, and a few others that are GM approved books as well.

you could contact SLP and find out since they did the conversion.

Thanks guys, i'll have to give the White Book or one of the others a try. I already contacted David at SLP but he said they probably couldn't help since SLP Engineering no longer exists and SLP performance parts had no part of the conversion....IDK

XSTA....thanks for the help. I think that first one might finally work. Obviously the others we have all seen have the right numbers, but this one actually coming from SLP (and still having the website and everything on the paper) i think should work well enough for them.
