I don't see this posted yet..here it is..Our prayers are with him. The race will be televised at 4pm pacific, 7 eastern on ESPN2..I am sure they will show the accident. I am updating again..there is a video in the link below. The car was cut in half with the engine sliding all the way down the track..Unbelievable, glad he is at least alive. I feel really bad, he is one of the nicer guys & underated drivers in the sport. I have met him personally & it hurts to see this.

I was watching that race, but had to leave. Hope he's okay.

Thread on this in the drag racing results section and the racer's lounge.

Update results are not as bad as originally thought. Dislocated wrist, ankle and knee, but CAT scan came back good!

The said he had some broken fingers and his ankle had a compound break. That and his knee had abrasions that went to the bone. :eek2:

That was a scary looking crash.

Jesus, I am trying to decipher what took place here. The video I saw was rather quick and sloppy, I'll look for another. That looked like one nasty crash but thank God he is quite alright.

It looked like something from the timing equipment cut threw his tire because his rear slick started smoking almost instantly; I'm interested in seeing what was the cause of the accident and why the frame/car came apart like it did ?! All in all it's great that he came away from it with his life.

I did a lot of stop/go takes of the vid. Looks like the cones travel behind the car... kinda looks like a clutch explosion. Certainly a side vid would show the cones a bit better...
