That's cool. BTW, do you know when the 08 silverados/sierras with the 6.2L and A6 come out? 2008 is just around the corner, where are they?

Seems like the 6 speeds have been more trouble than they are worth. GM has had a horrible time finding calibrations/alogrithms for them and they weight in on a planetary scale. heh.

I'll take the extra what, ~50-75 lbs for the two extra ratios any day of the week! Maybe they'll make a midway design 5-speed auto...

It is 240 wet. My T56 was 135 wet. Obviously cause it is a manual. TH400 was a little more but less rotating mass. Yet this was a race tranny. Don't know about the other ones. Probably on GMPTs site.

If I can find the bulletin I would post it but I can't. Said something about GM having issues with finding what gear to use when. Customers didn't like pauses or when the tranny downshifted too many times causing more power than expected to be delievered. This caused the user to let up and the trans would shift up too much again. I think they have it worked out now but required a major rework of code. Like that is hard for those guys! It is half autocode.

Anywho! Who thinks the improved quality of the Silverado is due to the 33 mill GM dumped into Milford in 2005 including a 10mill rollover test. :usa:

3 mil to upgrade adult crash dummies and to add new infant dummies
8 on in vehicle data aquisition
6 on new accelerators to push vehicle testing to even higher g's
6 on brand new high speed digital camcorders
