it was a pretty easy install, I hardwired my V1 at the same time ... but whats goin on is if i have it set at say 5300, when i'm in 1st at WOT it seems to go off at like 4k ... if i go slow through 1st it won't go off till 5300 like it is set to ... what would cause this?

here is the install pic of where i put it

thats cause the stock tach is slow, and in 1st you rev faster then the tach can spin

which wire did you use to get the rpm reading? (hopefully the pcm)
are you sure your not spinning the tires? (is it all gears or just first?)
did you take the grounds to BARE metal (very important)
